Ralph Thpmpson Sr. opened the Music Barn in September of 2006 at 109 North Main Street in historic downtown Mount Gilead, North Carolina. A long time fan of Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music, Mr. Thompson thought the area needed a venue where this type of music could be enjoyed by all. His love of the music and his tireless energy have created a place and an atmosphere where people of all ages can come enjoy the sounds of hot Bluegrass bands and mingle with friends and strangers alike.
